Poetry Evening was an incredible night where the Grade 7s got to share the poems that they had written this year.  The audience was amazed by the depth and emotion that came from the poems.  It lasted about 45 minutes on Thursday 18 November.  Everyone enjoyed the evening immensely and we were very grateful for our English teachers, Mrs Rowan and Ms McCarthy’s efforts in preparing the Grade 7s with their poetry.

The Grade 7s did not only create poems but they also wrote letters for their parents to show appreciation to them.  Some of the topics were not as deep but rather funny topics that made the audience laugh.  Mrs Howden was greatly surprised yet laughed about some of the poems that chose Maths as their topic. She ended the evening with a poem she wrote herself and included all the Grade 7s’ achievements.  The evening was fantastic and a night to remember
