It was very fun.  We sang songs and we were dancing.  My mom and dad loved it so much.  My granny was there and she also loved it.  My sister was not there.  I loved it too.

We first sang Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes in Afrikaans, then we sang the Hokey-Pokey.  After that we said the Pirate poem.  Then we sang Vader Jacob.  We sang two Zulu songs and at the end we sang the Centenary song.  I love the songs so much!  I am lucky to be at this school!  I love APPS!
Vivienne Less

The show and tell assembly was very nice.  I liked doing all the dances and the actions.  We got to put colourful ribbons in our hair.  We sang songs in Zulu, Afrikaans and English, it was so much fun.  It was a little bit cold that morning, but it didn’t bother us.  My favourite song was the Hokey-Pokey, it was kind of funny because we had to walk like a penguin.  We also did a thank you poem to our parents, to say thank you for doing so much for us.  We made cards for our parents too.  We had lots of fun!

Grade 2B
On Friday 19 November was our Grade 1 and 2 mini concert.  We sang lots of songs like the Hokey Pokey, Head, Shoulders Knees and Toes in Afrikaans, some Zulu songs and the APPS Centenary anthem.  My line was ‘We are very grateful to be at such a wonderful school.’  My favourite song was the Centenary anthem.  We also said a poem that rhymed for our parents.  My dad came to watch me and after the mini concert we got thank you cards to give to our parents.  After I gave my dad the thank you card he said that I did amazing and he loved the show.  Some other songs we did were a pirate poem and a song about a man who loved sleeping.  We did that song in Afrikaans.  I really enjoyed the day, it was awesome.

On 19 November the Grade 1s and Grade 2s did a concert.  In Grade 2 we sang Kop, Skouers, Knieë en Tone.  We also sang the Hokey Pokey and did a poem on pirates.  After that we did a song about a man who loved to sleep, we did that song in Afrikaans.  After that I had to count a Zulu song in.  We sang two Zulu songs altogether.  After the Zulu songs we sang the APPS Centenary anthem.  We then said a thank you poem to our parents.  My parents loved and enjoyed our little concert.
