In the blink of an eye, half term break is already upon us!  The months are now quickly rolling by and I cannot believe we are galloping towards the end of the academic year.  We have, once again packed in an enormous amount of work and play and we thank parents for their continued support.

Our themes are focused on learning more about our world and our beautiful country.  The Penguin and Flamingo girls are busy planning their second presentation on these themes when we get back to school.  We are learning all about our telephone numbers and addresses.  This is where we hear hilarious and totally true phrases like ‘I live in a white house, or I live in my mom and dad’s house!’

The girls have had a delightful time painting Father’s Day T-shirts, ties and practising songs and poems for this marvellous event which is due to take place later in the term.

In between baking, painting, creating buses, part-part whole numbers and many art activities, as well as having time to play, we have made a start on learning how to read.  The girls are learning sight words and blending at a rapid rate.  This is delightful to see.  We can all read and write ‘I love you, dad’ just in time to make that special card for Father’s Day.  Beading APPS 100 bracelets with the Grade 7 buddies has certainly been the highlight of this term.

The girls are doing a lot of kindness deeds at home and school.  They love getting recognition for their good deeds APPS booklet.  Thank you so much for all your support with this initiative.

We wish you all a safe, healthy and peaceful midterm break with your loved ones.
