APPS recently enjoyed another successful evening celebration of isiZulu Fireside Tales.  The annual event included songs, poems and dancing, as well as marimba and djembe items.  Families and friends were further treated to gumboot dancing by boys from Salvazione Christian School, and kept enthralled by the traditional tales told by Mama Ndaba, our senior isiZulu teacher.

It was an honour to have one of our mums, Kgomotso le Roux, a professional musician, perform songs, entertaining the crowd to much applause.  The evening ended with a fabulous performance by the Furamera family who regaled all with Nigerian songs.

Traditional healthy cuisine formed part of the celebration, and our unique Spaza Shop was the ‘cherry on top’ of a fun-filled event.
